Program Content

This immersive program enables you to learn and practice teaching skills and techniques “on the job” in a public school while completing your college degree. You’ll be coached by an experienced teacher to develop transferable leadership and communication skills. You’ll also join a strong network of peer teachers and leaders.

You must be on track to graduate after June of 2018, have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75, and be willing to commit at least 30 hours per week to coursework and classroom teaching.

Students will receive a salary from their school employer.

You will emerge from the program with a teaching certificate and Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) degree.

“The Residency has provided opportunities for me to experience the role of a teacher firsthand, and has given me the tools and support I need to be successful in a classroom of my own.”
